- Peter Anthony Pennesi of Olive Branch, MS, aged 61, passed away unexpectedly on January 20, 2021. Peter was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of Ronald and Mary Ann Pennesi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa's parents - Eugene and Florence Nudo, and his sister-in-law, Jean Nudo Morreale.
He is survived by his beloved wife, best friends since junior high school, Theresa Nudo Pennesi, married for 37 devoted years. He is survived by his loving children Erica (Jordan) Wissel of Nashville, TN, and Hayley Pennesi (Craig Bisacre) of College Station, TX. Also surviving are his two sisters, Nancy Pennesi of Niagara Falls, NY, Meribeth (Tim) Morton of Bartlett, TN, his sister-in-law Mary (Thomas) Zimmerman of Lockport, NY, as well as his nieces and nephews, Sam (Maggie) Morreale, Charles Zimmerman, Faith, and Grace Morton. He also leaves his canine companions, Coda, Cadence, and Cannon.
Peter received his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia. He went on to become a licensed Customs House Broker. Peter and Theresa were relocated to Memphis, TN by V. Alexander & Co., Inc. in 1988. Peter was known for his craftsmanship as everyone's go-to handyman and cooking for the masses. Some of Peter's most cherished memories were spent on the Mississippi River as the Transporkers Pit Master for 20 years at the Memphis in May BBQ Fest. He is also known for making the best homemade Italian sausage. He spent many weekends cheering on the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Vols. Peter's favorite pastime was planning his family vacations to visit Mickey and Minnie Mouse at DisneyWorld and supporting his daughters in all their activities.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 29 from two o'clock in the afternoon until the time of the Celebration of Life service at five o'clock in the evening.
