- Jerald V. Palumbo, 81, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021, in ECMC with his family by his side. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Dominic and Leonora (Gasbarro) Palumbo.
Jerald was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and a graduate of Bishop Duffy High School. Following his graduation, he served in the United States Air Force. Jerald was employed at Harrison Radiator until his retirement as a Supervisor in 1998. He enjoyed bowling with his son during his younger years and especially enjoyed taking his grandchildren for walks. Above all, Mr. Palumbo centered his life around his family who will miss him greatly.
Mr. Palumbo is survived by his wife, Karen (Gaertner) Palumbo; his children, James (Mary) Palumbo, Teresa Speck, Kathleen Rusaw and David Palumbo; his grandchildren, Jennifer Speck, Angela Speck, Kristen (Edward) Olszewski, Richard Rusaw, Timothy Rusaw and Brian Rusaw; seven great-grandchildren; two siblings, Michael (Elaine) Palumbo and Christine Leone; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held privately for Mr. Palumbo’s family. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
