Harriet J Chick, of Niagara Falls, passed on Friday February 12, 2021 in Buffalo General hospital after her lengthy battle with the complications from
COVID 19. She was 70 years old. Harriet was born in Altoona ,PA on Jan 4, 1951. The daughter of the late Grace and Herbert (Langer).
Mrs. Chick was a graduate of LaSalle Sr High School and worked at Mt St Mary’s hospital in Lewiston NY for more than 30 years, she retired in 2017. Following her retirement, Mrs. Chick worked as a caregiver in the local community where was loved by all, for her compassion and willingness to assist the elderly. She cherished the time with her Brother, Sons, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Sister-In-Law and her friends and relatives from New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Mrs. Chick was a very spiritual and had a fondness of God, angels, and the holy spirit.
She was predeceased by her Mother Grace, Father Herbert and husband Richard, brother-in-law Joe and Mother-in-Law Mary. Survivors include her brother Patrick (Sue) Langer of Davenport Florida, children Paul (Lorna) Chick of Honolulu. Joseph (Debbie) Chick of Niagara Falls, sister-in-law Donna Chick- Little of Niagara Falls and her grandchildren Chelsea Chick of Ft Walton Beach Florida, Chrystle Chick of Honolulu, Brianna, Samantha and Joey Chick of Niagara Falls along with her great grandchildren Ethan Ariel and Emma of Ft Walton Beach Florida who fondly called her “GG” along with her nephews Tom, Jason, Jeremy Langer, Ryan (Shannon) Pasisz, and her niece and god daughter Michelle (Dan) Lickers of Niagara Falls.
May you rest in peace mother, we will be ok. As you always said, “Take it one day at a time”. We will remember in our hearts, your thoughts, and memories, of the times we loved the times we laughed, the times we cried. We will always think of you like you never had gone. You have touched all our hearts and we are deeply saddened. You will always be with us “One day at a time”.
Interment will be private at St Joseph’s cemetery in Niagara Falls Thursday February 18th. At 11am. Memorials may be given to St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Niagara Falls. The family of Mrs. Chick would like to thank the many doctors and nurses at Buffalo General who did their absolute best, and Rosemary from Lane Funeral Home for being so kind and thoughtful during this grief-stricken time.
