- Donald L. Booth, Sr., 68, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on July 30, 2022 at his residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, he was the son of the late William Booth and the late Caroline (Stover) (late George) Miller.
Donald came to Niagara Falls as a child with his family. He graduated from Trott Vocational High School and later earned an Associate’s Degree from Kelly Business School. On May 13, 1972, he married Christine E. (Myrtle) Booth in Niagara Falls. Donald served proudly in the United States Army from 1971 until his honorable discharge in 1974, and was stationed in Fort Hood, TX. After his service, he was a member of the American Legion. Donald was employed as a Laser Machinist for Vishay Thin Film in Niagara Falls, NY for over 30 years until his retirement in 2017. Donald enjoyed working with his hands, especially photography and on computers. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and reading, and cherished the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, Donald is survived by his children, Donald L. (Shannon) Booth, Jr. and Le Anna (John II) Dale; his grandchildren, Benjamin Booth, Willow Booth, Cadence Booth, Jackson Booth, Jules Dale, and Morgan Dale; his siblings, Jerome (Lisa) Booth, Donna (George) Hardy and Laura (Will) Waier, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Booth.
A Celebration of Donald’s Life will be held on Thursday, August 4 from 5 – 9 PM at the American Legion, 6525 Ward Road, Sanborn, NY 14132, where Military Honors will be presented at 7:30 PM. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Niagara County SPCA or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
