  Head-On-Crash Near Newfane Claims 2 Lives Mervin R. Chambers, 41, of Gasport, and Grace Foley, 44, of Newfane, were killed in a head-on two-car acident just south of Newfane Friday night. State Police said Chambers; auto swung wide on a right-hand curve on Route 78 and struck the Foley vehicle which was traveling in the oncoming traffic lane. Both victims were alone in their cars and both were pronunced head on arrival at Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital.
