- Donna M. Strasburg, 53, of Huth Road, Grand Island, died Saturday (May 20, 1989) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a six-moth illness.
The Niagara Falls native graduated from Niagara Falls high School in 1954. She was secretary-treasurer of the Strasburg Welding C. for 20 years. She was an avid bowler and golfer. She organized the Women's Golf League at River Oaks Golf Club on Grand Island and was a member of he American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451 Auxiliary. Mrs. Strasburg is survived by her husband, Albert Strasburg; two daughters, Maria Strasburg of Akron, Ohio, and Janine Strasburg of Grand Island; three sons, AE-2 Albert J. Strasburg of the U.S. Navy, Donald A. Strasburg of Niagara Falls and John R. Strasburg of Grand Island; her mother Isabelle Carli of Akron, Ohio; a brother, James Carli of North Carolina; and a sister, Vivian Kisler of Akron. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Cooper Funeral Home, 8028 Buffalo Ave., where the Rev. James Streng will conduct services at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Wheatfield Post 1451 Auxiliary will hold a service at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
