- Obituary of Norman R. McKay
Norman R. McKay, 83, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at home, under the care of Niagara Hospice. He was born on June 13, 1939 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late James and Winifred (Fox) McKay.He and his wife Barbara C. (Kwarciak) celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past January. They were married on January 20, 1962. Norman worked for Hooker Chemical for 33 years until he retired. He loved spending time with his family. Especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and Barbara loved spending time at their condo in Myrtle Beach during most of the winter months. He was also a member of the Cataract Car Club, with his 38 Chevy and 68 Ford Mustang.Along with his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Cynthia J. King, Anne Marie (George) Dritschel, and Kristine (Darrin) Pike; 6 grandchildren, Holly King, Rachel (Michael) Zawacki, Ryan (Rheanne) King, Dr. Justin A. Dritschel, Jeffrey N. Pike, and Taylor L. Pike; 6 great-grandchildren, Austin King, Laila Carter, Colt King, Gianni Carter, and Michaela and Michael Zawacki; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his siblings, Ernest (Gladys) McKay, Fredrick (Myrna) McKay, and Norma (William) Lawson.There is NO PRIO visitation. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the NICU at Sisters of Charity Hospital 2157 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14214.
