- Jane Zmudzinski Obituary
Jane Zmudzinski, nee Boire, 89, of Fairfax, VA, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2020.
Jane was born and raised in Champlain, NY and was the daughter of Eximer and Ida Boire. She was married to the love of her life Edwin, on October 22, 1955, and they had 49 loving years together. Jane graduated from the College of St. Rose with a bachelor’s degree and from George Mason University with a master’s degree. She was an avid sales rep for a local newspaper who enjoyed her job so much she worked until she was 80. Jane had an unwavering faith in God. As an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, she became very involved with the church community, and was also a member of the choir. She enjoyed spending time with her family and, being a farmer’s daughter, loved gardening.
Jane is survived by two sisters, Simone Monette of Rouses Point, NY and Stella Quelch of Alexandria, VA; and one brother Jerry Boire of Champlain, NY. She is also survived by her daughters, Donna Carroll (Michael), Ellen Markham (John) and Gina Nairn (Terry). 11 grandchildren: Brian (Katie) Carroll, Jeffrey (Taylor) Carroll, Kristin Markham, Patrick (Carolyn) Carroll, Daniel Markham (Derik Doughty), Sara Carroll Fountain (Matt), John Paul Markham (Jennifer), Kelli Markham Forinash (Josh), Zachary Nairn, Andrew Nairn, and Taylor Nairn; and 11 great-grandchildren: William, Aiden, Grace, Logan, Sophia, Quynn, Noah, Grace, Blair, Owen, and James.
A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on July 6 at the Parish Center at The Church of St. Mary in Champlain, NY followed by a funeral mass at 11:00, and concluding with interment next to her husband in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
