Joseph G. Beiter Obituary
Joseph G. Beiter, 86, of Pendleton passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 10, 2025. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Myrna (Walsh), his much loved children Christopher (Leslie) Beiter, Susan (Edward) Hackel, and Craig (Jennifer) Beiter, his cherished grandchildren Sean (Kacie), Shannon, Allison, Joshua and Mara, great-grandchildren Chase and Chloe, and his sister Rita (Lester) Spoth; also nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his siblings Anthony, Raymond (Betty Lou), Earl (Jaqueline), Arlene (William) Goerss, Arnold (Phyllis), Elizabeth (Stanley) Swogier, Vincent (Gail), . He will be greatly missed by all.
Joe was the youngest child of Vincent and Elizabeth Beiter born on August 21, 1939. Joe served as part of the Medical Corps. in the United States Army. After his service, he worked at Block TV & Radio, Pendleton Hardware, and Beiter & Spoth Builders. Joe was dedicated to serving his community through the Jaycees, the Pendleton Lions Club serving as its president on two occasions; organizing and running the annual Fishing Derby for several years. He was a member of the Wendelville Fire Department and a Special Deputy with the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. Joe loved golf and was a member of the Tan Tara Golf Club winning the Member-Guest Invitational twice with his son Chris and the Spring Invitational with his youngest, Craig. He loved playing euchre and bid pitch and especially loved attending his grandchildren’s many activities.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home 242 Genesee Street, Lockport NY. A Memorial Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 5442 Tonawanda Creek Road, North Tonawanda, New York on December 19, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Niagara Hospice or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
