- Violet Marie Bernadette Iadicicco
October 19, 1934 - November 4, 2022
Violet Marie Bernadette (Caimano) Iadicicco, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the age of 88. She was born in Niagara Falls on October 19, 1934, a daughter of the late Joseph Anthony and Martha Irene (Andrus) Caimano. She attended local schools and then married Salvatore Iadicicco and together they began to raise their family.
Violet was an entrepreneur and, along with her husband, were owners of businesses through the years including buying and selling homes, Sal’s Car Wash, Al’s Rent A Bay, Green Acres Motel and Restaurant. She also was a highly appreciated tour guide in Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon.
Violet was an accomplished tap dancer and student of Fred Jones. She also enjoyed playing the drums. Violet received awards for her published poetry and once was presented an award by Bob Hope. She was a longtime member of St. John de LaSalle Church and was a devoted Disciple of the Blessed Sacrament as well as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was a Red Cross volunteer. She was an avid environmentalist and was invited to lecture on the Love Canal Disaster.
Mrs. Iadicicco is survived by her 5 children: Lynette (Ken) Lemaster, Donato (Delores) Iadicicco, Salvatore Iadicicco Jr, Anthony Iadicicco, and Augie (Rachelle) Iadicicco , 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her loving husband, she was predeceased by two daughters: Vincenza Iadicicco and Violet Nancy ladicicco, grandson Anthony Iadicicco Jr, two siblings: Rosemarie (late Clarence) Krohn and Delores (late James) Hescox.
Violet considered her life enriched by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She will always be remembered by a rainbow and her unconditional love.
