Frank dePonceau, Jr. passed away May 14th, 2023 at the age of 93, after a long and well lived life. Born October 4, 1929, to the late Frank dePonceau, Sr. and Phyllis Rita LaGamba.
Predeceased by brother Dominic (Ida Marie) and sister Vincenette (Kenneth) Phillips.
Survived by dear friend and "love of his life" Carol M. Greene; brother Richard; sister Patricia; daughters Janelle and Marcy (Thomas) Castle; sons David (Jennifer) and Michael (Amy); grandchildren Jeremy (Summer) Coutts, Marisa Schuster, and Michael (Ashley) Goffenberger, Jamie (Seth) Pollay and Rachel (Joshua) Rhodes and great-grandchildren Emilly, Abby, Sebastian, Roman, Madison, Hannah, Harrison, Jackson, Jameson, and Jack, including many nieces and nephews.
Frank graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1947, served two years in the US Army during the Korean conflict as first cook in the Officers' Mess and rose to the rank of Sergeant. Graduated from Niagara University in 1958 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Frank retired from Anglo American Financial and its subsidiary FSI Futures, Inc. as its Regulatory Capital Accountant.
Frank's first marriage to Shirley Ann Zgonce was blessed with four children.
Before her death Frank and his 2nd wife, Eva Zucker Evans, enjoyed many trips abroad over the years, including Paris, London, Rome, The Vatican, Florence, Vienna, Budapest, Tel Aviv, Hebron, and Jerusalem where Frank dipped his hands in the river Jordan, and, while crawling into the Holy Sepulcher he stood up too fast and received a huge bump on his head.
Interment will be in Brockway, PA alongside his father and grandfather.
