- Jane K. Walter passed away July 16, 2025 under the care of Hospice Buffalo. Born March 21, 1931 in North Tonawanda she was the daughter of Clarence and Edna (Kramer) Wagner. Jane worked for Buffalo Pumps and then for Equifax in Williamsville where she was an office clerk. She enjoyed knitting, ceramics, playing BINGO, and especially loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Jane was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ where she was in the church bells and served as an elder. She also belonged to the Pendleton Seniors, the Pendleton Historical Society, served as the Pendleton Deputy Town Clerk, and served 50 years as an election inspector for the Board of Elections.
Jane was predeceased by her husband Elmer H. Walter in August 2023. She is survived by her three sons Mark (Beverly) Walter, David (Sue) Walter, and Craig (Colleen) Walter; five grandchildren Kristen (Kyle), Nicholas (Ashley), Brandon, Anita, and Lauren (Kris); two great grandchildren Olivia and Kayce; sister-in-law Dorothy Walter and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Monday, July 21st from 4-7 PM at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral service will be celebrated Tuesday, July 22nd at 10 AM at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 7416 Campbell Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Evangelical Protestant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the church would be appreciated by the family. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
