- Dolores A. Conshafter (nee Scheiffele)
April 5, 1933 - October 1, 2023
Born April 5, 1933 to the late Charles A. Scheiffele and late Julia Scheiffele in Niagara Falls, NY. Passed away October 1, 2023 at age 90 after suffering a stroke in her home. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to her late husband Harold E. Conshafter who passed away on August 11, 2008. Predeceased by 2 grandchildren. Survived by her precious son Kent E. Conshafter and her cherished daughter-in-law Katie Conshafter, both of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her devoted nephew Bob Conshafter and niece Donette (late Donald) Darrow, her life long friend Sally Stiles of Avoca, NY and favorite cousin Frank (Vivian) Nowak of Centennial, CO. A special thank you to Sister Dorothy and Sister Judy for their comfort and blessings. My mom was a model in her younger years and maintained her good looks, fun personality and wonderful sense of humor throughout her life. She and my dad built their own home on Brookdale Drive in 1966 and lived there until she moved to St. Mary's Apartments in 2022. She enjoyed driving her "little red" convertible Audi, going out to lunch with her friends, watching GH, westerns, golf and horse racing. My mom also enjoyed going to the track and I would often tell her in the winners circle that she was our lucky charm. She had her famous hunch bets, liked betting on the roan and grey horses and loved just being there with us. My mom and dad loved me, educated me and supported us through triumph and tragedy. We will love them, miss them and feel blessed and forever grateful for their place in our lives. As Walter Hagen said, "You're only here for a short visit. Don't hurry, don't worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way." Funeral arrangements by Amigone Funeral Home. Private Funeral Service and burial was at Elmlawn Cemetery on October 4, 2023.
