- Obituary for Barbara A (née Hudnut) Janowsky
Barbara A. (née Hudnut) Janowsky, 79, of Lockport, NY, formerly of North Tonawanda, NY , Saturday (October 7, 2023) in Elderwood at Lockport. Barbara was born in North Tonawanda on July 9, 1944 to Ernest M. and Doris M. (née Gosch) Hudnut. Barbara was a Nurse’s Aide at DeGraff Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, and a member of North Presbyterian Church. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Lane R. Janowsky, and former husband Richard Vanderlip, sister Carmen Monette, and brother James Hudnut.
Barbara is survived by her loving dog, Gizmo, her children Michael (Patricia) Janowsky, and Lisa (Larry) Walgate, sisters Kathleen (the late Daniel) Matikosh, and Susan (Harold) Grehlinger, grandmother of Kristine (Maryann) Schrecongost, and Tracey (Josh LeMay) Janwosky, great grandmother of Zelda LeMay, Austin, and Emeilia Bruno, also survived by several nieces, nephews, and stepchildren.
Friends may call Monday (October 16, 2023) from 4-8 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (October 17, 2023) from North Presbyterian Church, 168 Payne Ave, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Interment will be held at Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Barbara's memory to North Presbyterian Church or Niagara Hospice.
