Of North Tonawanda, NY, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 12, 2023, she was 79. Born on July 8, 1944 in Buffalo, NY the oldest child of the late Charles and Rita (nee Miranda) Pyjas. She graduated from Fosdick-Masten Park High School. Carol worked as an insurance agent for Merchants Mutual Insurance Company retiring in 2006. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by a brother Charles Pyjas and a sister-in-law Paulette Hill; Carol is survived by her dear siblings James (Laurie) Pyjas, Robert Pyjas, Joseph (Jennifer) Pyjas, Thomas (Leslie) Pyjas, Christine (Suzanne Wienke) Pyjas and Deborah Wojda; four cherished grandsons; caring sister-in-law Kathy Pyjas; former husband Timothy Masterson and his two sons Shawn and Christopher; also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday from 3-7 PM at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2600 Sheridan Drive (corner of Parker Blvd). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday from St. Amelia Church, 2999 Eggert Road, Tonawanda at 9:30 AM. Family and friends are asked to please assemble at the church.
