Janet M. "Jan" [Freatman] Gertz
Of the Town of Cambria, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, in Mercy Hospital Buffalo. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 16, 1942, a daughter of the late Harold and Harriette [Smith] Freatman.
Mrs. Gertz was a graduate of LaSalle High School. She was actively involved with the Niagara County Fishery Board for over 19 years and with the New York State Department of Conservation. Mrs. Gertz loved to fish and be outside.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years Thomas E. Gertz, her children David (Laura Hickey) Gertz, Michael (Tracy) Gertz and Kathy (Brad) Walker, five grandchildren Marc Gertz, Rebecca McKeown, Steven (Jessica) and Bryan Gertz and Jayson Walker, four great grandchildren Sawyer, Noah, Skylar and Autumn, a sister in law Carol Freatman, also several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Richard Freatman.
Memorial Services on SATURDAY, December 16th at 1PM at Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY.
Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Sanborn, NY.
