Clyde N. Drake, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024. Clyde was born in North Tonawanda NY, was an avid model airplane gas racer enthusiast in his youth. A graduate of North Tonawanda High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean war; stationed in Germany as a Chief Track Vehicle Mechanic. He spent the majority of his career as a Machinist at Columbus McKinnon in Tonawanda NY and as a Real Estate Investor later in life. He was an avid golfer, bowler, enjoyed woodworking and time in his workshop. He fully embraced Lake Life with his favorite hobby and place to be at the family home on Rushford Lake. Clyde was a dedicated family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife Helene, family and friends.
Son of the late Clyde N. Drake Sr. and Marion E. Drake. Loving husband of Helene Drake (nee Zefferys). Father of Michael (Nicole) Drake. Grandfather of Melissa (Ryan) Seymore , Brittany (Adam) Seymore , Olivia Drake and Sophia Drake. Great grandfather to Riley, Lydia and John. Brother to the late Edna Harber (nee Drake)
Delores Neale (nee Drake) and David Drake. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 146 W Utica St, Buffalo, NY 14222, on Tuesday February 13, from 10:00am - 11:00am. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am. Interment at Elmlawn Cemetery.
