- Palma A. Girardo, 57, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 23, 2024 at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Anthony Girardo and the late Concetta (Fato) Girardo.
Palma liked listening to music and watching TV shows. More than anything, Palma loved spending time with her family and friends, and especially enjoyed holidays and special occasions. She was extremely fond of her mother’s home cooked meals. She also loved watching her nieces play when they were younger.
Throughout her life, Palma lived under the care of the Western NY DDSO Group Homes in Lewiston, Lockport, and most recently Bullis Road in West Seneca. The family would like to especially thank all of the many nurses, aides, and caretakers that have shown compassion and cared for Palma her entire life.
In addition to her father, Palma is survived by her sister, Maria T. (Peter) Micale; her nieces, Amanda (Taylor) Rogers and Angela Micale, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins in the United States and Italy. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her Godparents, Nicola and Maria Girardo.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27 from 5 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 11:15 AM followed by Palma’s Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 North Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
