- Albert J. Schmidt Obituary
Albert Schmidt, 81, of Ransomville, NY, passed away on March 31, 2024. He was born on March 18, 1943.
Albert lived his dream retirement of having a cabin in the woods before returning to Ransomville in November 2022.
Before his retirement, he was a master carpenter. Albert's hobbies included ATV riding, watching deer from his cabin, tending his chickens, and befriending local chipmunks that would eat peanuts out of his hand.
Albert is survived by his sister, Linda Schmidt Lapress, his children Albert A. (Valery Lavery) Schmidt, Debra (Richard) Beutel, David J. (Christine) Schmidt, and Corilyn (James Craggs) Schmidt. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Albert was predeceased by his parents, Ruth Martha Lasker and Albert Herman Schmidt, and his sister, Donna Schmidt Desso.
A private service for the family will be held at a later date. Contributions in Albert's memory can be made to the Wilson Volunteer Fire Company
