- Arlene M. Hennebohl went to her eternal home in heaven to be with her God and Savior on May 2, 2024 at Hospice House in Lockport. Born in Cheektowaga, NY, in the year 1929, she was 94 years old. She was the daughter of Philip and Marie Abt of Cambria, NY. She worked at Fisher Price in Medina and also for Mercy Home Health Care as a caregiver in Lockport for many years until she retired. She is known for her love of her God and Savior and not a day would go by that she didn’t read her Bible and pray for each and every one of her family and friends by name. She was called the ‘encourager’ in her family as she naturally encouraged each and every one to do better, be better and live better with God first in their life and Jesus as their Savior. Her most cherished time was spending time with her family and friends. She loved to read and in prior years of growing up on the family farm she always loved all kinds of plants, flowers, birds, and gardening.
She had one brother and sister, both deceased: Norman Abt Sr (Marion), and a sister, Ruth Martin (Norman). She had two sons and a daughter: the late Larry Hennebohl (Deborah), and daughter, Cathy Linderman (Wayne) and Daniel Hennebohl. She was grandmother to five beloved grandchildren: Julie Parsons (David), Steven Linderman (Regina), Danielle Hennebohl, Christina Syphax, and Mark Hennebohl. She also cherished her 14 great grandchildren: Luke, Seth, Joshua, Aaron, Jaylyn, Naomi, Jenna, Jackson, Alexis, DaShawna, Tahje, Tydan, Jonathan and Kingston. 5 great-great grandchildren: Corey, Juliana, Carson, Melody, & Harmony. She also dearly loved her cousin, Janet Heinemann and all her nieces and nephews. She had many friends over the many years of her life that she spoke of even in the last few years.
A celebration of her life will be at a later date for her family. She asked that everyone celebrate she’s in heaven, completely healed and that you reminisce over all the good times filled with love & laughter with her!
In lieu of flowers, please donate to either: Hospice House of Niagara County or The Vintage Church at Buffalo (vcb.church) in memory of her.
Arlene’s family has entrusted her care to the Goodlander family, OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY (716-297-9007). Share condolences and memories at GOODLANDERCARES.com
