- Marie D. Wright (Nee Schecterly), age 87, of Lewiston died Sunday, December 4th, 2022, at the home of her daughter in North Tonawanda. Marie was born July 23rd, 1935, in Nescopeck, PA. She is the daughter of the late Boyd W. and the late Erla (Hess) Schechterly. Marie graduated from Riverside H.S in Buffalo. She married Franklin L. Wright on September 26th, 1959, he predeceased her on December 3rd, 2017. She was employed by Coutts Library Service in Lewiston, NY as a Clerk from 1979 to 1999 previously working at Pratt and Lambert Paint from 1953-1960. Marie enjoyed wood carving, oil painting and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Youngstown. She is survived by her children; Susan (Bradley) Milleville and David (Jessica) Wright of Youngstown; her brother, William (late Nancy) Schechterly; grandchildren, Sarah, Christpher and Nicholas Wright and one great granddaughter Norah Gerber- Wright, also several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Robert (late Sandra) Schechterly. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 8th from 3-7 PM at Hardison Funeral Home, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 9th at St. John Lutheran Church, 420 Lockport St., Youngstown, NY with Rev. David Duke officiating. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria following. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Fund, 145 N. 6th St. P.O. Box 748, Lewiston, NY 14092.
