Notes - Jessica L. Gauda-Lane, 41, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, after a courageous battle with breast cancer, with her family at her side. She was born in North Tonawanda, NY a daughter of Dennis E. Gauda and the late Hilda M. Gauda. Jessica attended North Tonawanda High School, Class of 2000 and completed her education obtaining her Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Elementary education and teaching. She started her career in teaching in Maryland and Sidney, NY prior to coming to the Syracuse area. Up until her illness, Jessica was employed as the Vice Principal at Porter Elementary School in the Syracuse City School District. In 2014, she was united in marriage to Ian E. Lane. They have been residents of Baldwinsville for the past four years, raising their children. Jessica was a selfless soul who was devoted to her family and faith. She was adventurous, enjoying many trips traveling the country. Throughout her illness, her tenacious demeanor allowed her to still focus on helping others. She was an active member of METAvivor, trying to increase awareness of advanced stage metastatic breast cancer, equity in research and patient support. Jessica was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She is predeceased by her mother, Hilda M. Gauda in 2007. Surviving to cherish her memory is her husband, Ian E. Lane; adored children, Easton H. Lane and Eliza E. Lane; her father, Dennis E. Gauda; two sisters, Estella M. Bullwinkle and Angela M. Clancy; her father and mother-in-law, Edward F. and Janice M. Lane; three nieces, Taylor Bullwinkle, Kayla Clancy, Emma Clancy, a nephew, Ryan Clancy and great nephew, Jayce.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville, NY with funeral services to follow at 3:00 pm.
