- John P. Wesolowski of North Tonawanda New York
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing away of our father John Peter Wesolowski, age 81 on February 3, 2025. He was born on June 6, 1943 in North Tonawanda New York to parents, Casimir and Jenny Wesolowski.
John was a machinist at Columbus McKinnon and Durez Oxychem. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was awarded the Navy Unit Commendation Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal from Vietnam. John was a member of Sweeney Hose and a volunteer fireman, and belonged to the Firemen's Benevolent Association, also a member of the American Legion. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, he loved to be outside and stay busy. His family remembers him as a loving, kind, hard working man. He was always know as the Neighborhood mayor.
He is survived by his wife, Judith (Taylor) Wesolowski, son, John Peter Wesolowski Jr., daughter, Teri (Mark) Wildey, son, Michael (Jennifer) Wesolowski, son, Robert (Tanya) Wesolowski. Grandchildren, Zachery (Julia), Brianna, Hunter, Ashley (Matt), Parker, Autumn, Olivia, Tyler, James. Great grandchildren, Bryson, Landon and his beloved dogs.
Visitation will be at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive in North Tonawanda NY 14120 on Friday February 7, 2025 from 3 to 7 PM. Committal Services with Military Honors will be held Saturday at 11 AM at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Elmwood Ave, Town of Tonawanda NY. Please assemble at 10:45 AM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Office Parking Lot at 4000 Elmwood Ave. we will proceed to the Mausoleum for Services at 11 AM. Friends and family are invited then to gather for a luncheon at Pendleton Creek Golf Club to celebrate John's life and share their memories.
