- Barbara B. Fritz (nee Samson), age 80, of the Town of Bolivar, NY, formerly of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of the Red Hats, and she enjoyed reading, collecting antiques, and sitting on her porch. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Agnes (Hawes) Samson. Beloved wife of Dennis A. Fritz for over 62 years. Dear mother of Debora (Joseph) Pirk, Todd Fritz, and Connie Gray. Grandmother of Samantha (Nicholas) Blajszczak, Allison Nelson, Georgia Gray, and Melanie Gray. Great-grandmother of Henry, Ellanora, Aubree, and Emma. Sister of the late Judith, Russell and Kenneth Samson. Aunt of several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc. 1241 Oliver St at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Monday, May 12th from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home beginning at 5:00 PM, the Rev. Ernest Green will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
