- Anna Katherine (Kitty) Orszulak
Loving wife and mother
Kitty Orszulak, 79, of the Town of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully in her home on March 27, 2025 after battling lung and heart disease for the last year. Born on December 24, 1945 in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph Jackson Raybon and Clera Mae (Davis) Raybon. She attended Niagara Falls High School. She married Todd M. Orszulak on February 22, 1969 and had two children, Todd M. Orszulak Jr. and Jennifer M. Orszulak.
She was a terrific cook and worked at the Stella Niagara kitchen where she made lifelong friends, as well as doing house and office cleaning in her later years. She enjoyed singing with "The Relatives" and WKBW DJ Tommy Shannon when she was young. She really, really loved coffee, cooking and baking, cleaning, flowers, and growing plants from seed in her basement. She would take seeds and cuttings, with or without permission, from a variety of plants that sparked her interest on her travels. Her green thumb was renowned. Her back yard was brilliant with color and fragrance from her flowers, plants and roses that covered it. She loved being in her home, and having food and coffee ready for company that might drop by. She had a daily date night with Hallmark movies and her husband at her side. Her apple pie was the envy of many. She loved sending food for "her men" at hunting camp. She was a hard worker in all that she did. She prayed to God nightly for the health and well-being of her family. She gave her husband and children the kind of love that makes a house a home. She died with dignity and love, at home the way she wanted to, with her family at her side.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Todd M. Orszulak and two children, Dr. Todd M. (Adrienne) Orszulak Jr. and Jennifer M. Orszulak, as well as her sisters Clare (late John) Abdullah, Vicky (Wayne) Thompson, and Jollie (Dick) Caprio and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Gwyn (Willy) Emmons, Jackie (Chet) Cummings, Joyce (Robert Band and Bill) Gall, Bonnie Conte, Lorene (Roy) Heil, Patsy (Ben) Raymond, as well as her brothers Carl (Jan) Raybon and Leo (Diane) Raybon.
A time for all to gather for visitation will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home on Military Road in Niagara Falls, from 2-5 p.m., where a memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friends and Family are welcome to come, remember, and share the gift of her life with us.
