- Obituary for Ruth Lozo
Ruth Lozo of North Tonawanda died at home on July 1, 2025 after a long illness. Ruth
was the daughter of Harold Douglas and Mary (Schmidt) Douglas, born in Buffalo, NY on March 6,
1931. She was the widow of Glenn Lozo, to whom she had been married for 68 years. Her
sister is the late Margaret (Douglas) Lang. Until retirement, she served as a church organist and
choir director for several decades, most notably for Tonawanda United Methodist Church and
North Presbyterian of North Tonawanda. She had also worked full-time as an administrative
assistant for the Boys and Girls Club of the Tonawandas, the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural
Site, and as a bookkeeper for Learning Disabilities Association of Western New York. Interests
included classical music, history, and her family. Ruth is survived by her sons Douglas and Mark
Lozo and nephews Timothy and Andrew Lang.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Presbyterian Church of NT,
