John H. Breitenbach
Retired Production Supervisor for National Grinding Wheel in North Tonawanda
John H. Breitenbach, age 98, of Kenmore, NY, and also of Niagara Falls, NY, Sunday, January 12, 2003 at North Gate Manor Health Care Facility. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, he had been a resident of Kenmore for more than 55 years and of Niagara Falls from 1992 until 1999. He was the husband of Lauretta M. (nee Guinther) Breitenbach, who died in 1992 and was the son of the late Philip and Augusta Breitenbach. Mr. Breitenbach had been employed by National Grinding Wheel in North Tonawanda for 36 years, retiring in 1970 and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. He is survived by his sister, Katherine Pokelwaldt of Lockport, NY. and was the brother of the late Louis, Frederick, Henry and Walter Breitenbach, Anna Wendt, Margaret Bayer and Elsie Bayer, also survived by many nieces and nephews.The family will receive relatives and friends on WEDNESDAY from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan Street in Tonawanda, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. following the visitation. Friends invited. The Rev. Alice McDermott will officiate. A private burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
