Mathew, 88, Wolcott He married Rose Brown on Oct. 12, 1940 Louis H. Mathew, 88, lifelong resident of Wolcott, died at 3 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, in St. Anthony Healthcare, Lafayette. He had been in failing health for the last two years and in St. Anthony for the last two weeks. He was born on April 27, 1918, in Wolcott to the late Arthur and Adeline (Bergeron) Mathew. He married Rose Brown on Oct. 12, 1940, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Remington. A rosary service and visitation were held on Monday at Foster-Clapper Funeral Home, Wolcott. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Remington, with Father Thomas Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Remington.
