Observe Anniversary
Many friends and relatives gathered
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Whitbeck, 748 Monteagle
street. Saturday evening, to observe
the twenty-fifth wedding anniversary
of the honored couple.
The hostess received her guests,
numbering more than 40, in a gown
of light blue crepe wearing the
corsage of yellow roses and blue
delphinium, the gift from her husband
The buffet table, with its lace
cloth was centered with a two-tier
wedding cake. Tall white holders
with white tapers added charm to
the table.
Mr. and Mrs. Whitbeck were
married by the Rev. Herman Brezing.
The bridesmaid, Miss Minnie
Schultz, and the best man, Mr.
Otto Piiggie, at the wedding 25 years
ago were present at the anniversary.
Mrs. Adelaide Eggert. the organist
at the wedding, was present Saturday
evening and played for the
mock wedding which was presented.
One of the highlights of the evening
was the long distance telephone
call from Sergeant Ralph
Whitbeck, stationed at the hospital
base in Romulus, Mich., to his
mother and father.
Among the out-of-town guests
who were present were Mr, and
Mrs. John Baum, of Buffalo, Mr.
and Mrs. August Baum, of Lewiston,
N.Y., and Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Eggert, of Bergholtz, N.Y. Many
beautiful gifts were received by Mr.
and Mrs. Whitbeck.

A very pretty but quiet wedding took
place Wednesday afternoon at 2:30
o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Conrad Baum, No. 1533 1-2 Pierce avenue,
when their daughter, Agnes Mary,
was united in marriage to Ralph Whitbeck,
the Rev. Herman Brezing officiating.
The bride, who was given Jn marriage
by her father, wore a white georgette
dress and bridal veil, caught with
orange blossoms: She carried a shower
bouquet of bride roses. The bridesmaid.
Miss Minnie Schultz. was dressed
In pink georgette and carried pink
roses. Otto Prlgge attended the groom.
After the ceremony a dinner was
served, to 70 guests, covers being laid
for 12 at the bride's table, which was
centered with a large wedding cake.
The house was beautifully decorated',
tho color scheme being pink and white.
The wedding march was played by
Miss Delia Terchln of Bergholtz, N. T.
Mr. and Mrs. Whitbeck have left on
a two weeks' trip to Ticonderoga, 'N.
Y., and upon their return will rcside at
No. 1533 1-2 Pierce avenue. Tho bride
received many pretty and useful gifts.
Among tho guests were Mr, and Mrs.
A. Bosworth of Buffalo, cousins of the
bride.
