A very pretty, fall wedding-was solemnized
on Saturday at 4- o'clock at
the First; Presbyterian church, when
Miss Jean M.McGill. daughter o f Mrs;
Mary .McGill of Linwood. avenue, became
the bride of- August Louis Baum,
son,of Conrad Baum; t h e R e v A. Van
Raalte officiating. the church was
decorated with fall flowers and palms.
The bride, who .was given in marrlage.
by her: brother was. charming in a
lavender, chiffon dress made on long
lines, the skirt being long and full, the
bodice having a cowl neck line. A hat
of black velvet with a medium brim
turned up in front, black satin slippers
and long white gloves completed her
costume.. She carried an arm bouquet
of Joharina Hill roses wlth Gypsophilia
and orchid Larkspur. Miss Essie Mc-
Gill, sister of the bride,; was the only
attendant and wore, a dress of aquamarine
satin, made on long lines with
black hat and slippers arid carried an
arm bouquet of Talisman roses and
Gypophilia. John Baum, brother of the
groom, was best man.
Immediately following the ceremony
a small reception was held'at the home
of the bride's mother, the bride's table
being set for twelve. Table decorations
were in orchid and white with the
wedding cake in the center; The house
was decorated with;fall flowers. Out-of-
town guests were present from Hamtfton
and Prlcevllle. Ont.
Mr. and. Mrs. Baum left on a motor
trip to Washington, the latter travel-
ing in an attractive brown dress and
fall coat with matching hat and slip-
pers.
Pre-nuptial affairs for the bride were
a spaghetti dinner and linen shower by
the girls of the Hooker company, a
bridge and kitch shower by Mrs.
Robert Outland; a bridge supper by
Mrs. Helen Kerins and the Misses Kay-
sauser and Furey when an occacional
table was presented; a variety shower
by Mrs. Margaret Moore and a personal
shower by Miss Pearl Sterner.
