- John "Jack" Webber
December 7, 1928 - December 12, 2017
John Webber, a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2017 in Niagara Hospice House. He was 89. He was born in this city on December 7, 1928, the son of Frank and Martha (Scharlan) Webber. He attended local schools and college.
John served his country proudly in the United States Army National Guard Reserves for eight years. His working career was with Niagara Mohawk for over 40 years. He retired in 1988 as Surveyor.
He was a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge 346 for many years, serving as Exalted Ruler. He loved being a member of such a wonderful organization. He and his wife, Rosemary (Fiori) Webber, enjoyed traveling, making several trips cross country before her passing in 2015.
He is survived by three daughters, Donna (William) Nichols of Romulus, NY; Robin Holzle of Niagara Falls and Judy (Scott) Thomson of Easy Bethany, NY; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased his wife and several brothers and sisters.
There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 4 PM at the Elks Lodge, 7710 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers gratefully declined.
