A lovely early summer wedding
was solemnized last evening at the
First Baptist church at 7 o'clock
when Miss Marion Yvonne Williams
became the bride of Wilmer Enos
Wlddowson. The pastor of the
church, the Rev. Charles Rufus Osborn,
officiated at the ceremony,
which took place amid banks of
gladioli, peonies, ferns and palms.
The bride was lovely in her wedding
gown of Imported white lace
made princess style, with graceful
train. Her wedding veil, finger
tip length, fell from a crown of
seed pearls. She carried a cascade
of gardenias.
The matron of honor. Mrs. Mary
Townsend Kateley, wore a gown of
hyacinth blue organza with pink
daisies. Her shoulder-length veil
fell from a coronet of flowers and
she carried a cascade of baby gladioli.
Miss Caenwyn Mort, bridesmaid,
chose a floor-length gown of peach
marquisette with blue trimming.
Her shoulder-length veil fell from
a tiara of flowers and her bouquet
was of pink roses.
Walter Wlddowson, brother of the
groom, was the best man and the
ushers were W. Roy Schoonover and
Allen Weigel.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. William J. Williams, of
Eighty-eighth street, and the groom
is the son of Enos Widdowson, of
Fifteenth street.
The bride's mother wore a gown
of dusky pink, with lace trim, and
carried an orchid bouquet. The
sister of the groom also wore dusky
pink and canled a bouquet of orchids.
Mrs. Florence Smith presided at
the organ preceding and during the
ceremony. At the reception after
the ceremony tulips and lilacs were
used as decorations. The bride's
table was centered with a three-tier
wedding cake.
Mr. and Mrs. Wlddowson left for
a trip to Boston, Mass.. the bride
traveling In a blue suit with white
accessories. Upon their return they
will reside at 1642 Weston avenue,
after May 30.
Among the out-of-town guests attending
the wedding were Mrs. Edward
Bolton, MUs Sally Bolton,
Mrs. Ellen Billiard, of Detroit.
Mich.: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kratz
and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Townsend,
of Lockport: Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Stanfenbeil. of Buffalo, and
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hemline, of Alden,
N. Y.
Miss Berta Townsend and Mrs.
Fred Kraatz gave variety showers
for the bride and her 8unday school
class also entertained at a variety
shower. Mrs. Henry Chapman was
hostess at an aluminum shower.
