  Buffalo News, The (NY) - December 2, 2005 CAMBRIA -- Violet A. Steingasser, formerly of Wheatfield, died Wednesday in her granddaughter's home after an illness of five months. She was 90. Born Violet Becken in Lewiston, she attended local schools. Mrs. Steingasser was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, and her hobbies included gardening, crafts, sewing and traveling. Her husband of 49 years, Jacob L., died in 1986. Survivors include three daughters, Carol Shafer of Newport, TN., Judith Toellner of Queen Creek, Ariz., and Joyce Schmidt of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sons, Larry of Sanborn and Robert of Wheatfield; a sister, Jean Walck of Sanborn; a brother, Carl Becken of Sanborn; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Dubois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst.
