Ruth E. Schultz, 86, a teacher of porcelain arts and a church organist, died Friday (May 8, 1998) in the Crestwood Health Care Center, after a short illness.
The former Ruth Greenwald was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from the Toronto Conservatory of Music.
She most recently had lived in Wheatfield Towers.
Before that, she had lived in the Royal Park Apartments and on Cayuga Drive, both in Niagara Falls.
She worked in Niagara Falls as a secretary in the 1930s for E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. and then worked as the manager of the former Greenwald's Restaurant, which was owned by her family.
Mrs. Schultz taught porcelain arts in her home for many years and was a member of the Great Lakes Porcelain Arts Teachers and Associates.
She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, where she taught Sunday school, served as church organist and was a member of the Grace Ladies.
Her husband, Harold E., died in 1941.
Survivors include a son, Harold F., and three grandsons.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Grace Lutheran Church, 716 Cayuga Drive, at Pershing Avenue. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston
