  FREDERICK'S OBITUARY Frederick M. Schmidt passed away July 5, 2024.  Born December 12, 1933 a son  of the late Harold L. and Helen T. (Zapotosky) Schmidt. Frederick served in the Navy for 2 years, worked for New York Telephone Company (Verizon), the Town of Lewiston Police, was a member of the Lewiston #2 Fire Company (was President for 1 year) and he also drove Van Go for Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.  He spent many years and hours in his vegetable garden. Frederick is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ann J. (Swann) Schmidt, son David F. ( Francine) Schmidt, daughter Judith A. (Richard) Amentia.  He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Frederick is predeceased by a son, Paul K. Schmidt, his 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
