LOCKPORT — Franklin W. Rose passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Lockport on June 20, 1952, he was the son of the late Ernest Rose Sr. and Alice Denniston.
Frank worked for Buffalo Paperboard for 18 years, was a security guard for US Security Associates in Buffalo, was a crossing guard in Lockport and was the President of the Huskey Cemetery Association. He was a member of the Dale Association, and was a past president of the Eagles Arie 825 and was a big supporter of the Lockport Police and Fire Departments.
Frank is survived by his son, Franklin W. (Jean) Rose, Jr. of Lockport; and was the grandfather of Nicholas, Justin and Ham Rose. Frank is also survived by his brothers, Dennis (Linda) Rose, Glenn (late Linda) Rose, James (Kim) Rose and Ernest (late Joan) Rose Jr., all of Lockport and Wayne Rose of Arizona. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held on Thursday morning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Huskey Cemetery. Memorials to the Dale Association, Suite 315 Bewley Building, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
