- Delores N. Malaney, age 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on November 19, 2019 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Stella (Jackson) Moreland.
Delores was raised in Niagara Falls and attended local schools. She was employed in housekeeping at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY for 45 years. In addition, she worked with her husband, Dennis R. Malaney, I at their janitorial business, D’s Janitorial, for 30 years. Mr. Malaney predeceased her on July 10, 2008. Delores loved all those that she was associated with at Mt. St. Mary’s. She will be remembered for her appreciation of the color yellow, her stamp and coin collection, and her Princess Diana dolls. Above all, she adored her grandchildren and bonding with her family and friends.
Delores is survived by her children, Dennis R. (Alison Morgado) Malaney, II, Sherry L. (Amy) Torrie, and Richard (Candy) Malaney, I; her grandchildren, Rachelle Malaney Blanchard, Dennis R. Malaney, III, Camryn Malaney, Stephen Arnone, Tyler Arnone, Erin Malaney, Casaundra Malaney, Richard Malaney, Nathan Malaney and Abby Malaney; her greatgrandchildren, Maddox Malaney, Mason Malaney and Khaleesi Malaney, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Donald Moreland.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th from 1 – 3 PM and 6 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304. Delores’ Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 AM at Holy Family Parish at Mt. Carmel Church, 27th and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301. Please assemble at church. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
