- Frances M. Voelker was born in the Town of Lewiston, New York on February 16, 1909 to Christian and Emma (Wienke) Haseley. She attended St. Peter's Lutheran School in Walmore. A member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where she had been very active, along with being the church custodian for fifty years.
She was a member of the Historical Society in Bergholz, enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, and always willing to help others in need.
Frances was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at the Schoellkopf Health Center in Niagara Falls, where she had been a resident since March of 1999, at the age of 93.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. David B. Menz on Saturday, May 25th, at 11:00 a.m. in St. James Ev. Lutheran Church. Interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Wheatfield, New York.
Survivors include two daughters: Phyllis (husband Ray) Wienk, and Lois (Wilbert) Milleville; eight grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Irma Haseley. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Henry Voelker in 1973; and four brothers and sisters: Clarence Haseley, Evelyn Brown, Melvin Haseley, and Mabel Harder.
Arrangements are by the DuBois Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. James Ev. Lutheran Church
