- Mary Ann Ivey Life Story
Mary Ann (Harrigan) Ivey, age of 91, passed away on May 6, 2024. Born on January 26, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude (Swaim) Harrigan. On November 6, 1954, Mary Ann married James M. Ivey. He predeceased her on May 29, 2022.
Mary Ann was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. For over 30 years, she was employed as a waitress, mainly working for the Royal Chef and the Gooses Roost, along with others. Mary Ann was a member of the Lewiston Seniors and enjoyed helping in the kitchen while there.
Mary Ann is survived by children, David (Darlene) Ivey and Maureen (Kenneth) Stonebraker; grandchildren, Christopher (Kara) Ivey and Jennifer (Anthony) DeVantier; great-granddaughter, Emily DeVantier; special niece and caregiver, Donna Dullen; sisters-in-law, Geraldine and Julie; brother-in-law, Fred; close friend, Patricia O'Connor and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Eleanor, Patricia, Janet, James, Thomas, George, Michael, Francis, Edward, David, and Robert.
Private prayers of committal by Michael R. Goodlander and interment was held in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Schoellkopf Health Care Center and/or Niagara Hospice.
