James M. Ivey, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 29, 2022. Born on April 23, 1932 in Andalusia, AL, he was the son of the late James L. and Eva (Lunsford) Ivey. On November 6, 1954, Morris, as he was known to family and friends, married Mary Ann Harrigan.
Mr. Ivey attended schools in Alabama Morris was drafted and proudly served as a corporal in the United States Army, during the Korean Conflict, from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1954. Following his military service he came to Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Ivey retired from Niacet Corporation, where he was employed as a pipefitter. Morris was an exempt member of the Niagara No. 1 Volunteer Fire Company in the Town of Niagara. He loved the outdoors and taking care of his garden and yard.
In addition to his beloved wife, James is survived by children, David (Darlene) Ivey and Maureen (Kenneth) Stonebraker; grandchildren, Christopher (Kara) Ivey and Jennifer (Anthony) DeVantier; great-granddaughter, Emily DeVantier and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Dorothy (Walter) Ballard and Darlyne Godwin.
