Lois P. McCabe, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Center, in Lockport, NY. She was born in Atholville, New Brunswick on June 26, 1922, the daughter of the late George and Sarah H. (Keighan) Olscamp.Mrs. McCabe moved to Niagara Falls, NY in 1942 and was a secretary for Century Wholesale, Temple Beth EL and at Occidental Chemical in the legal department for 12 years, before retiring in 1982. She was member of the Sacred Heart Mother's Club, the Ladies Auxiliary of Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Occidental Social Club. Mrs. McCabe loved taking care of her family and friends. She was the wife of the late Arnold McCabe, who died in May of 1957.Mrs. McCabe is survived by two daughters, Mary Margaret (George) St. Onge and Elizabeth Ann Rodriguez, both of Lockport; two sons, A. Richard McCabe of Detroit, MI and J. "Terry" (Theresa) McCabe of North Tonawanda, NY; eight grandchildren, Gregory, Marc, Dana, Laura, Patrick, Colleen, Sean and Daniel; two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Natalie; two brothers, her twin, John (Julia) Olscamp of Niagara Falls, and George (Rita) Olscamp of Prince Edward Island; also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Harry, James and Randolph Olscamp, Irene Steinbrenner, Helen Traverse, Georgina Olscamp, Stella Curry, Thelma Braas and Dora Rountree.The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Raphael Roman Catholic Parish, College and Macklem Avenues, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Center or to Niagara Hospice. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
