BUFFALO - Mr. and Mrs. Peter Capizzi,
formerly of Niagara Falls, announce the engagement
of their daughter, Miss Gracine Letitla
Capizzi, Sommer Street, North Tonawanda,
to Kenneth Joseph Kirisits, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Rudolph Kirisits, Crescent Drive, North Tonawanda.
Both are graduates of North Tonawanda High
School.
Mr. Kirisits. also was graduated from Lincoln
Electric School of Welding, Cleveland, Ohio.

NORTH TONAWANDA - The marriage
of Miss Gracine Letitia Capizzi and Kenneth
Joseph Kirisits took place Saturday (Feb.
8, 1964) at Ascension Church. Rev. Francis
S. Hunt officiated at the ceremony.
The former Miss Capizzi is the daughter
of Mrs. Myra Capizzi, 49 Simson St.,
Tonawanda, and Peter Capizzi, Inglcwood,
Calif. Mr. Kirisits is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Rudolph Kirisits, 4037 Crescent Drive.
The bride, a former resident of Niagara
Falls, placed a dedication bouquet at the
altar of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Joseph Critelli of N i a g a r a Falls
escorted his granddaughter to the altar.
She wore a gown of peau de.soie and
Alencon lace. A queen's crown secured her
bouffant four-tiered veil. She carried a
cascade of white roses, carnations and hyacinth.

MAID OF HONOR was Miss Kathleen
Goodman. Miss Marcia Critelli of Niagara
Falls, cousin of the bride; Miss Nancy
Kirisits of Buffalo, cousin of the bridegroom,
and Miss Diane Kupiec were
bridesmaids.
The attendants gowns were of turquoise
satin peau de sole. The maid of honor carried
tangerine carnations and the bridesmaids'
flowers were yellow carnations.
Norman Kirisits was his brother's best
man. Charles Capizzi, Tonawanda, brother
of the bride, Charles Chase and Michael
Lee seated the guests.

DOM POLSKI Hall was selected for the
evening reception. '
The bride's mother wore a powder blue
satin dress. The mother of the bridegroom
was attired in a navy blue silk "sheath.
Their flowers were pink sweetheart roses
and carnations.
After a tour of the eastern United
States, Mr. and Mrs. Kirisits will make
their home at 578 E. Schenck St.

Kenneth J. Kirisits, 66, of East Arcade Rd., Arcade, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at his residence. He was born July 28, 1942 in Buffalo, Erie County, NY, the son of Sylvia (Nadeau) Kirisits and the late Rudolph Kirisits.He married Faith Buckley on July 3, 1977 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. He was a member of the Arcade United Methodist Church. He was a retired carpenter, having worked 30 years at Occidental Chemical/Durez, North Tonawanda Division. He was a member of the Arcade Fire Department, having served as Chief for three years. He was also a lifetime member of Rescue Volunteer Fire Co. in North Tonawanda. He was a foster parent to many children and enjoyed hunting, fishing, being retired and spending time with Faith.He is survived by his wife, Faith Kirisits; mother, Sylvia Kirisits of Williamsville; children, Kathleen (Frederick) Zacher of North Tonawanda, Michelle Guedesse of North Tonawanda, Kenneth Kirisits of New Jersey, Peter (Buffy) Kirisits of North Tonawanda; step-daughters, Michelle (William) Jonathan of Town of Tonawanda, Renee Ballard of Snyder; sister, Gloria (Donald) Polkelwaldt of North Carolina; brothers, Norman (Kathryn) Kirisits of City of Tonawanda, Michael (Cheryl) Kirisits of Holland, NY; grandchildren, Sara, Ryan, Luke, Austin, Alexis, Brooke and Ryan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Emily. Visitation will be Thursday, October 23rd from 7-9 PM and Friday, October 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at W.S. Davis Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 1 PM at Arcade United Methodist Church, Arcade, with Rev. Bud Vredenburg officiating.
