Kenneth J. Kirisits, 66, of East Arcade Rd., Arcade, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at his residence. He was born July 28, 1942 in Buffalo, Erie County, NY, the son of Sylvia (Nadeau) Kirisits and the late Rudolph Kirisits.He married Faith Buckley on July 3, 1977 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. He was a member of the Arcade United Methodist Church. He was a retired carpenter, having worked 30 years at Occidental Chemical/Durez, North Tonawanda Division. He was a member of the Arcade Fire Department, having served as Chief for three years. He was also a lifetime member of Rescue Volunteer Fire Co. in North Tonawanda. He was a foster parent to many children and enjoyed hunting, fishing, being retired and spending time with Faith.He is survived by his wife, Faith Kirisits; mother, Sylvia Kirisits of Williamsville; children, Kathleen (Frederick) Zacher of North Tonawanda, Michelle Guedesse of North Tonawanda, Kenneth Kirisits of New Jersey, Peter (Buffy) Kirisits of North Tonawanda; step-daughters, Michelle (William) Jonathan of Town of Tonawanda, Renee Ballard of Snyder; sister, Gloria (Donald) Polkelwaldt of North Carolina; brothers, Norman (Kathryn) Kirisits of City of Tonawanda, Michael (Cheryl) Kirisits of Holland, NY; grandchildren, Sara, Ryan, Luke, Austin, Alexis, Brooke and Ryan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Emily. Visitation will be Thursday, October 23rd from 7-9 PM and Friday, October 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at W.S. Davis Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 1 PM at Arcade United Methodist Church, Arcade, with Rev. Bud Vredenburg officiating.
