  7 September 1955 Tonawanda News MELLENTHINE – Marcus P. Mellenthine, 62, last night (Sept. 6, 1955) in his home, Ward Rd., St. Johnsburg. He is survived by his wife, Louise, nee Schaller. He was the father of Mrs. Melvin Voelcker of Bergholtz, and Ralph F. and Donald M., of the Town of Wheatfield. He is also survived by six grandchildren. He was the brother of Mrs. Elizabeth Broecker and half-brother of Edmund and Walter Williams. Services will be in the family residence at 2 p.m. Friday, and at 2:30 p.m. in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. J. Walter Thiemecke will officiate. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Mellenthine was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the St. Johnsburg Fire Company.
