Services for Walter K. Ferchen, a native of Wheatfield, will be conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery, Pekin.
Ferchen, 74, died Wednesday (Aug. 23, 1989) in Marietta, Ga., where he lived for the last 21/2 years.
He lived in Wheatfield until 1967, when he moved to Oakfield, NY
He worked at the former Zimmerman Builders Supplies in Wheatfield, was a former member of St. James Lutheran Church of Bergholz and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, the former Margaret Willard of Georgia; two sons, Stephen of Elba, and Randy of Cincinnati; two daughters, Barbara Robinson of Marietta, Ga., and Andrea Austin of Byron; a brother, Fremont Ferchen of Bergholz; five sisters, Mildred Gensler of Florida, Esther Thiemecke of North Tonawanda Gladys Clayton of Canada, Edna Zimmerman and Frances Wienke; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
