  15 March 1945 Tonawanda News Gregory Ferchen, 34, of the Sy road, town of Wheatfield, died yesterday after a prolonged illness. A lifelong resident of the town of Wheatfield, he was a member of the Holy Ghost Lutheran church in Bergholz. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Edward Rubbert of the Old Falls boulevard, town of Niagara, and a brother, Edwin Ferchen, town of Wheatfield. Rites will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home of his mother and at 2:30 from the Holy Ghost church. The Rev. John Kuchenbecker will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Ghost cemetery.
