- DuBOIS - Walter E. Age 90 of Niagara Falls, on March 25, 2009. Beloved husband of Minnie (Wendt) DuBois; father of Karen (Fred) Goltz, Curtis (Kathy) DuBois both of Niagara Falls and Robert DuBois of Wheatfield; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; pre-deceased by eight brothers and sisters. Visitation on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield. Services on Saturday at 11 AM in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Luther Street in Wheatfield.

Walter E. DuBois, age 90, of Niagara Falls, was called to his heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior, after a brief illness, on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at his residence, with his loving family by his side. Born October 23, 1918 to the late Albert and Christine (Ferchen) DuBois. He attended LaSalle High School and worked on the family farm for many years. Walter later was employed as a plumber with Camann Plumbing and Heating in Wheatfield for 35 years, until his retirement, after which he spent many hours helping out at the DuBois Funeral Home. He was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, where he was a former elder and trustee for many years. Walter enjoyed bowling on the Bergholz Bowling League for 20 years, enjoyed gardening, woodworking and spending quality time with his dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Survivors include his beloved wife, Minnie (Wendt) DuBois; they were united in marriage July 10, 1943; thee children, Karen (Fred) Goltz of Niagara Falls, Robert DuBois of Wheatfield and Curtis (Kathy) DuBois of Niagara Falls; nine grandchildren, Hao, Tim, Heather, Thao, April, Marci, Julie, Bill and Paul; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, William, Arthur, Edwin and Herbert DuBois; and four sisters, Minnie Camann, Ruth Hassan, Eleanor Wienke and Elizabeth Heuer.Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Philip N. Sallach on Saturday at 11:00 AM in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Luther Street in Bergholz. Interment in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery.
