- Lizzie D. Haseley, formerly of Sanborn , NY, was called to her eternal home on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Fairchild Manor, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY. She was 93.
The former Lizzie Pfohl was born in the Town of Lewiston on September 23, 1915, she was the daughter of John and Eleonore [ Fahrenwald ] Pfohl, and was a lifelong resident of Sanborn where she attended local schools. Mrs. Haseley was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where she was active in the church choir for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid and other Circles within the church, visiting and sending cards to the sick and shut-ins, and making quilts for Lutheran World relief. She worked for J.J. Haseley & Sons, and accompanied her husband Marcus to the Niagara Falls Farmer's Market for over 40 years. She also had worked at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church Rectory, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY for 19 years.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years Marcus A., sons Rev. Ronald M. [ Joanne] of Greensburg, IN; Frederick W. [ Christy] of Roseville, CA; and Mark J. [ Marilyn ] of Ransomville, sister-in law, Lydia Stoelting of Wheatfield; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Lizzie was the sister of the late Minnie Kroening, Sigmund, John, Martha Haseley, Louis, Verone Haseley, Max, and Eleonore Craft.
The family will be present Monday from 7 - 9 PM, and Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road . A Celebration of Resurrection Service will be held Wednesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road , Sanborn at 11 AM. with the Rev. Bruce M. Gamache officiating. Internment will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Sanborn, NY. Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Lizzie's memory to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, or Lutheran World Relief Fund.

Lizzie Dorothea Pfohl was born in the Town of Lewiston on September 23, 1915, to Johannes and Eleonore [ Fahrenwald ] Pfohl.
She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn, NY. Lizzie was baptized on October 3, 1915 and confirmed on Apr 21, 1929.
On January 12, 1939 Lizzie & Marcus Albert Haseley were united in marriage. They were blessed with three children: Ronald M., Frederick W., and Mark J.
She was a lifelong resident of Sanborn where she attended local schools. She worked for J.J. Haseley & Sons, and accompanied her husband Marcus to the Niagara Falls Farmer's Market for over 40 years. She also had worked at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church Rectory, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY for 19 years.
