- Sylvia E. Jagow (Haseley), age 94, of North Tonawanda, formerly of Sanborn, was called to her heavenly home to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 26, 2009, while at the Niagara Hospice House in the Town of Lockport, after a short illness. Born in the Town of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY on July 16, 1914 to the late George and Eleanora (Walck) Haseley. Sylvia was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Walmore, where she was active in the church women's organizations and church choir. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting and gardening. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Herbert A. Jagow, Sr. on July 2, 1979; they were united in marriage October 28, 1938; a son, Lloyd Jagow; two brothers, Howard and Milton; and a sister, Arline.Survivors include three sons, James Jagow of North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY, Herbert (Deborah) Jagow of Sparks, NV and Roger (Carolyn) Jagow of Eau Claire, WI; five grandchildren, Rethema, Marcella, Matthew, Kirsten and Philip; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one nephew.Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Sunday from 12-3 and 6-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Bruce Gamache' on Monday at 11:00 AM in St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church on Walmore Road in Wheatfield. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
