Vegetable farm owner was active in church
SANBORN-Martha A. (Pfohl) Haseley, 90, of Bridgeman Road, died Friday (July 4, 1997) in Schoellkopf Health Center, Niagara Falls.
She was born Nov. 20, 1906, in the Town of' Lewiston the daughter of John and Eleanor (Fahrnwald) Pfohl. .She was a 'lifelong resident of Sanborn. She attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church Christian Day School.
She married Jonas J. Haseley on Jan. 10, 1932 He died in 1972.
Mrs. Haseley owned and operated a vegetable farm with her husband for more than 50 years.
She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Wheatfield, where she was active in several church activities including sending cards to the sick and shut-ins.
Mrs. Haseley. enjoyed working with flowers. She is survived by two sons, John Haseley of Lantana, Fla., and Donald Haseley, of Sanborn; a daughter, Martha. Haseley of Yokosuka, Japan; three sisters, Verone Haseley, Lizzie Haseley and Eleanore (sic) Craft, all of Sanborn; a brother Louis Pfohl of Sanborn; a grandson ,two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Jonas Haseley Jr., who died in infancy and sister of the late Rev. John Pfohl, Sigmund Pfohl and Max H Pfohl.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Monday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Wheatfield. The Rev, Allen Griep will conduct services at 11. a.m. Tuesday. In St. Peter's Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Entrance Fund at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

Martha A. Haseley, 90, of Bridgeman Road, who owned and operated a vegetable farm with her husband for more than 50 years, died Friday (July 4, 1997) in Schoellkopf Health Care Center, Niagara Falls.
The former Martha Pfohl was born in Lewiston and was a lifelong resident of Sanborn
She attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church Christian Day School.
Mrs. Haseley was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and was active in church activities.
She also enjoyed visiting and sending cards to the sick and shut-ins and loved working with flowers.
Her husband, Jonas J., died in 1972.
Survivors include two sons, John of Lantana, Fla., and Donald; a daughter, Martha of Yokosuka, Japan; three sisters, Eleonore Craft, Verone and Lizzie; a brother, Louis; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
