- Minnie Kroening
SANBORN - Mrs. Minnie Kroening, 79, of 3056 Lockport Road died Wednesday (Jan. 3, 1979) in Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
A lifelong resident of Sanborn, she was a longtime member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore and a member of the American Lutheran Church Woman of St. Peter's. She was predeceased by her husband Philip W. Kroening, who died in 1972.
Survivors include two sons, Rudolph Kroening of Niagara Falls and Herman Kroening of Sanborn; daughter, Mrs. Donald (Esther) Schneck of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; two brothers, Max and Louis Pfohl both of Sanborn; four sisters, Mrs. Jonas (Martha) Haseley, Mrs. Mervin (Verone) Haseley, Mrs. Marcus (Lizzie) Haseley, Mrs. Raymond (Eleonore) Craft, all of Sanborn, nine grandchildren five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Sigmund and John Pfohl.
Funeral services will be a held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends will be present at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the St. Peter's. Evangelical Lutheran Church fund, the family said.

The family will be present HOME Inc., 5893 Hoover Rd., Sanborn, from 7.9 p.m. Thursday and from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday.
